SABLE SAFARI, more than just a hunting trip.
Editorial
“A quick glance over my shoulder and I realise that I began as a tour operator in 2006 heading SABLE SAFARI and it is already a long way away. Since then, the structure has grown, its catalogue has expanded, my wife has joined the team improving responsiveness, and more and more of you are using our services. We push our services to the extreme while taking care of all the details from the choice of your resort to the return of your trophies at the end of your hunts. Everything that is controllable is mastered. This is how we visualise personalised trips.
While many things have changed in terms of our structure at SABLE SAFARI, one of them has remained totally intact, it’s my taste for travelling and my passion and commitment in finding you the most original hunting destinations. To do so, I travel the world energetically, I meet the best professionals in the field and I personally test all the different territories. Needless to say that I am deeply attached to nature and that my passion for hunting goes back to my childhood.
Since I was able to do my first hunting experiences in France, I also had the opportunity at an early stage to be thrown into some medium and large hunting circles in various Southern African countries, thereafter to carry on my career in Central Africa, more precisely in Cameroon and then to take the management of Sable Safari. Of these many experiences, I have retained the best to share with you today.
My regular clients know that I pay a lot of attention on how to hunt. Through a close partnership that has proved its worth over time, I share this approach of noble hunting activities with Jacques Spamer, a renowned guide who leads the JKO agency in Southern Africa. These initials are now attached to the SABLE SAFARI logo. This sharing of knowledge, which is not a formal association, gives a greater dimension to our respective structures and allows us to share our destinations to assure you of service without any bad surprises.
Jacques and I emphasise that a wild animal has to be earned. For example, we can not conceive a gunshot from a vehicle and neither organised undercover driven hunts with a massive slaughter of animals specially released for the occasion. Hunting activities must remain natural and leave an equal chance to the hunter as well as to the hunted. To us, “The important thing is not the picture, but the way you paint it”, in actual fact we have made this quote our slogan.
Africa remains a continent that sticks to my skin and my catalogue hosts some rare pearls from South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Uganda, Burkina Faso and Senegal. Through these references all the flagship species are honoured from the elephant to the francolin through to buffalo, antelope, cats and even waterfowl. A lot of these destinations make it possible to combine safari pleasures and tourism. Many couples or families have understood this and we have an increasing number of travellers with their companions sharing common memories.
North America also has a prominent place in my range of products. Thanks to longstanding relationships with experienced Quebec service providers, I am able to offer a European exclusivity to almost all the game that can be hunted in this beautiful Province, from the black bear to the American woodcock through to the Virginia deer (white-tailed deer) or the snow geese. To these typical classic game from the North American continent, I need to add British Columbia where the bear, cougar and lynx are the goals of the journey.
To these valuable assets of my catalogue, I have added some highlights that allow our customers to vary their pleasure while keeping the SABLE SAFARI touch. In this respect the Island of Mauritius, Spain, Greenland, Poland, Ireland and Argentina, among others, make it possible for us to meet the needs of a great number of enthusiasts for small and large game throughout the year. Here again we benefit from certain agreements on exclusively selected locations.
The growth of our structure does not prevent us from maintaining the human touch, this condition is essential for us. We want to preserve a privileged contact with our customers. That’s why we prefer, by far, direct communication to make your travel dreams come true.”
Our job is our passion.
Your trip is also ours!
Enjoy!
